Basketball Recap: South Delta Takes a Loss

South Delta was the 63-55 winner over J.Z. George when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Jaguars.

South Delta's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Justin Stamps, who posted six points and four steals, and Dantavius Searcy, who earned six points and six boards. Stamps has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

South Delta's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for J.Z. George, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

South Delta will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Port Gibson at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for J.Z. George, they have already played their next game, a 56-53 loss against West Tallahatchie on the 21st.
