Volleyball Recap: Oak Forest Find Success

The Oak Forest Bengals beat the Hillcrest Hawks 2-0 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bengals.

Oak Forest easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-21.

Rylan Dempsey paced Oak Forest's offense, picking up five kills. Dempsey got some help from Jacob Hladyshewsky and his 14 assists. Charlie Davidson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oak Forest's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Hillcrest, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Oak Forest will take on rival Blue Island Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hillcrest is set to face off against their familiar foe Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
