After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bend, Century was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sprague Olympians, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jaguars have posted since April 8, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Kinney, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Avery Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Century now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Sprague, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Century will challenge Beaverton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sprague, they will face off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
