Football Recap: Mission College Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Mission College Prep was riding high fresh off their 28-8 takedown of Caruthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Royals took a blow against the Lompoc Braves on Friday, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Braves are ranked 266th).

Although Mission College Prep took the loss, they still got scores from Aiden Shelton and Jack Marsalek.

Lompoc's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker House, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 76 rushing yards gave House a new career-high.

Mission College Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Lompoc, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Mission College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-13 defeat against Paso Robles on the 24th. As for Lompoc, they have also already played their next matchup, a 42-0 loss against St. Joseph on the 24th.
