Soccer Recap: Galena Park Comes Up Short

Galena Park was the 1-0 winner over Waltrip when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Waltrip Rams who were credited with the victory on Tuesday.

Galena Park's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 13-2. As for Waltrip, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Galena Park will challenge Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Waltrip does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
