Drew Central's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the McGehee Owls. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since March 31st.

The victory got Drew Central back to even at 8-8. As for McGehee, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drew Central will welcome Watson Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McGehee, they will be playing at home against England at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.41 runs per game on average), something the Owls will no doubt try to take advantage of.
