Softball Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

The Pendleton Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Walhalla Razorbacks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Pendleton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Pendleton didn't have quite enough to beat Daniel and fell 2-1. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Pendleton has scored all season.

Laney Jennings put in work no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out eight over nine innings pitched. Jennings has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Jennings was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a home run.

Jennings wasn't the only one making solid contact as one players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily McFarland, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a double.

Meanwhile, Walhalla was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell victim to a tough 15-5 loss at the hands of Crescent.
