Soccer Game Preview: Bellevue East vs. Omaha Northwest

The Bellevue East Chieftains will head out to square off against the Omaha Northwest Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bellevue East and seven for Omaha Northwest.

Friday just wasn't the day for Bellevue East's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Papillion-LaVista South on Friday.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Canine Competition, Omaha Northwest didn't have enough. They fell 2-0 to Burke on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Omaha Northwest have lost by exactly two goals.

Bellevue East now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Omaha Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Bellevue East took their win against Omaha Northwest in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
