Football Recap: Capistrano Valley Cougars vs. Cypress Centurions        
        
		
             Capistrano Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cypress Centurions 50-22 on the road. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won three contests by 21  points or more  so far this season.
  Tommy Acosta continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 179 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown. He is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.  Kaden Hunter was in the mix  as well, providing Capistrano Valley with three touchdowns.
 Cypress' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Bryson Busbee, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 53 yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 65 yards. Another player making a difference was  Xavier Guerrero, who threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes.
 Capistrano Valley's record now sits at 6-1. As for Cypress, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Capistrano Valley has already played their next match,  a  49-41  victory against Trabuco Hills on the 18th. As for Cypress, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  28-22  defeat against Western on the 17th.
