Softball Recap: Converse Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hicks, Converse was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Hornbeck Hornets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.

Converse's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Hornbeck, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Converse will face off against Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.79 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hornbeck, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against Ebarb on the 17th.
