Preview: Chipley Tigers vs. Blountstown Tigers

The Chipley Tigers''s homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Blountstown Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Chipley won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Taylor County 15-14.

The critical scores for Chipley came from Ethan Berry and Kyler Bryant.

Meanwhile, Blountstown entered their tilt with Liberty County with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Blountstown really took it to Liberty County for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-0 victory on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Blountstown had established a 35 point advantage.

Amarion Hover was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 66 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.

Chipley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Blountstown, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.

Chipley came out on top in a nail-biter against Blountstown in their previous matchup back in September of 2020, sneaking past 28-26. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Blountstown's Ken Speights, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Chipley to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
