Basketball Recap: Albany/Monticello Comes Up Short

Albany/Monticello entered their contest against Pecatonica/Argyle on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Albany/Monticello fell just short of the Pecatonica/Argyle Vikings by a score of 49-47. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Albany/Monticello came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Pecatonica/Argyle is ranked 64th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Albany/Monticello fell to 20-1. As for Pecatonica/Argyle, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
