Basketball Preview: Northwood Gators vs. LaSalle Tigers
Northwood is 8-2 against the Tigers since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Northwood Gators will be playing at home against the LaSalle Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Northwood will be strutting in after a victory while the Tigers will be coming in after a defeat.
After only 12 points in their last matchup, Northwood made sure to put some points up on the board against the Wildcats on Friday. Northwood took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 69-41 win over the Wildcats.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jahari Mccoy, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Mccoy has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ken'Tyreon Eddie, who scored 13 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, LaSalle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 72-48 defeat at the hands of Logansport.
Northwood's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for LaSalle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
