Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging an 88-55 win over the Myrtle Hawks. With the Bulldogs ahead 42-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

New Albany's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Simpson led the charge by going 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Simpson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Decorion Hardin, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points.

New Albany smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

New Albany is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Myrtle, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

New Albany won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ripley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully New Albany likes a good challenge. As for Myrtle, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Byers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
