Softball Recap: Patterson Mill Takes a Loss

Patterson Mill was the 6-5 winner over Bohemia Manor when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Friday. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Amanda Redmiles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ava Ward was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
