Softball Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Wins Going Away Against Northwood

With a playoff win on the line, Tippecanoe Valley rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the NorthWood Panthers. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tippecanoe Valley let Kahlyn Manns and Malaynie Costello run wild. Manns went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Costello went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Manns a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackaylie Costello, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Tippecanoe Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tippecanoe Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for NorthWood, they moved to 15-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Tippecanoe Valley nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
