            Softball Recap: Central Crossing Comets vs. Upper Arlington Golden Bears        
        
		
        
        
            Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central Crossing walked away with it. They came out on top against the Upper Arlington Golden Bears by a score of  7-3  on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

 Hayliee Roberts was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Payton King, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.  Kaitlyn Rizzo also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
Central Crossing now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Upper Arlington,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-17.
 Looking ahead, Central Crossing will square off against Marysville at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight. Upper Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
