Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Westside's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Westside extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Domonique Billue. The Westside Seminoles blew past the Rutland Hurricanes 70-37 on Friday thanks in part to Billue, who went 11 of 22 en route to 30 points and five steals. Billue is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jorden Billue, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 11 points and eight boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Westside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Rutland, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Westside will challenge Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside is facing Jackson at the right time seeing as Jackson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Rutland has already played their next game, a 69-38 defeat against Morgan County on the 1st.
