Scott's Branch lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Kind, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Nigel Lawson, who scored 12 points.
Carvers Bay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Bell, who scored 14 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Bell posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenard Heyward, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Scott's Branch has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Carvers Bay, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Scott's Branch will be playing at home against East Clarendon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Clarendon is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Carvers Bay, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnsonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
