Skyline is still undefeated this season after their contest against Columbia on Monday, but Columbia came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Vikings skirted past the Eagles 53-50. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ider at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Columbia, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
