 Wayne Christian won the last time they faced Coastal Christian, and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Wayne Christian Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Coastal Christian Centurions  and snuck past  4-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Wayne Christian.
  Jack Cunningham made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. Cunningham has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive pitching appearances. Cunningham was also big at the plate,  getting  no  hits from his two  at bats.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Drake Lane, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 On Coastal Christian's side,  Andrew Harrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Swanson, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all two of his plate appearances.
 Wayne Christian now  has a winning record of 8-7. As for Coastal Christian, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 12 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record  this season.
