High school football returned to Fenway Park this week for the first time since 1935.

Less than a week after Boston College and Notre Dame clashed at the nation's oldest Major League Baseball stadium, high school football made a temporary home in Fenway Park, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the players, coaches and fans involved.

MaxPreps was on hand Thursday for the game between Wellesley (Mass.) and Needham (Mass.), which Needham won 12-7. The matchup was part of the MaxPreps Rivalry Series presented by the Army National Guard.

According to Brendan Hall of ESPN Boston, attendance for the game was upward of 10,000.
