Soccer Recap: Briggs vs. Walnut Ridge
Briggs's game on Tuesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 5-2 to the Walnut Ridge Scots. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
This is the second loss in a row for Briggs and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Walnut Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-2 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Briggs will challenge Beechcroft at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Beechcroft is coming into the matchup with three straight victories at home, so Briggs will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Walnut Ridge, they will head out to square off against Delaware Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
