Volleyball Recap: Daniel Triumphs

Daniel won the last time they faced Easley, and Lydia Chasteen did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lions came out on top against the Green Wave by a score of 2-0 on Saturday thanks in part to Chasteen, who had 22 assists and six digs. Chasteen is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 17 every time she's taken the court this season.

Daniel never let Easley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Easley still got an impressive performance from Abi Summer, who had 12 digs and two aces. Leah Adkins also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Daniel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Easley, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Daniel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Hillcrest on the 23rd. As for Easley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against West-Oak on the 23rd.
