Soccer Recap: Etowah Takes a Loss

Etowah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Oneonta Redskins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Oneonta, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-1-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Etowah will challenge White Plains at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oneonta, they will face off against Cherokee County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee County's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
