Preview: Wilbur Cross Governors vs. Law Lawmen
Wilbur Cross has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Law Lawmen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
While Wilbur Cross couldn't quite beat the Hornets on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 26-point defeat they were dealt on Saturday. Wilbur Cross fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 50-47. Wilbur Cross has not had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Law was able to grind out a solid victory over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, taking the game 54-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Law.
Wilbur Cross dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Law, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Wilbur Cross took a serious blow against the Lawmen when the teams last played back in January, falling 62-22. Can Wilbur Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
