Basketball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

Alameda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Fort Lupton Bluedevils, falling 97-28. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 66-15.

It was another big night for Javon Gonzales, who dropped a triple-double on 24 points, ten assists, and 14 steals for Fort Lupton. Gonzales' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Guillaume Nkiadiambu, who went 7 of 8 to rack up 14 points and seven boards.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Fort Lupton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Alameda has already played their next game, a 61-45 win against STEM School Highlands Ranch on the 7th. Fort Lupton has also already played their next match (against Sheridan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
