After a string of four wins, Holliday's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bowie Jackrabbits by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jackrabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Holliday saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Stewart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Stewart's first of the season.

Holliday's loss dropped their record down to 11-7-2. As for Bowie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-13.

While Holliday had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
