Moffat took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers by a score of 46-39. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Moffat's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Heater, who posted 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tulasi McBride, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 16 points and eight boards.

Moffat smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Cripple Creek-Victor lost, don't look at Dylan Reyes. Despite the final result, he earned 15 points. Devon Reyes was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Looking ahead, Moffat will take on Gilpin County in a tournament on Friday. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lotus School For Excellence at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
