Volleyball Recap: Mathews Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mathews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King William Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Mathews had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21.

Mathews' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for King William, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Mathews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Northampton on the 16th. As for King William, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against West Point on the 16th.
