Norwalk and Westhill are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bears will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Norwalk's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Westhill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Norwalk nor Ludlowe made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bears walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Falcons. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Falcons on their field since May 10, 2017.

Maddie Collins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
