Golden Valley's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Del Oro 16-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Suns recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Mira Monte got the win against Del Oro on Saturday by a conclusive 12-5.

Golden Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Mira Monte, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything went Golden Valley's way against Mira Monte in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Golden Valley made off with a 23-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
