Volleyball Recap: Lanier Wins Going Away Against Chattahoochee + How To Watch

Lanier barely beat Chattahoochee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Longhorns blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Tuesday. The match marked the Longhorns' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-13.

Pilar Zucal paced Lanier's offense, picking up 11 kills. Zucal got some help from Emily Walton and her 19 assists. Zucal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Chattahoochee still got an impressive performance from Kennadi Peterson, who had 15 digs and one assist. Karina Broitman also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Lanier has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Chattahoochee, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Lanier will head out to challenge Cambridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattahoochee, they will host Brookwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
