Davis Came Up Big in East Duplin's 54-0 Victory
Starting off the list is East Duplin's Shawn Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making three total tackles.

Kinston had to settle for second on Friday, but Tyreek Copper sure wasn't going down easily. Copper turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Copper is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Wallace-Rose Hill on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Copper saw the Bulldogs), he picked up 162 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

James Kenan Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Hassan Kornegay
Hassan Kornegay was instrumental in extending James Kenan's winning streak to seven on Friday. Kornegay wasn't messing around, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss). The contest was his seventh straight with 11 or more total tackles.
James Kenan's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Kornegay will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against North Lenoir on Friday.
