Basketball Recap: Lowndes Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lowndes came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Camden County Wildcats. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wildcats are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lowndes' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Brown, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2024. Isaiah Camon was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnathan Jones, who earned 12 points. Another player making a difference was James Romano, who scored six points and six boards.

Lowndes' record now sits at 17-9. As for Camden County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 18 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Coming up, Lowndes will square off against Tift County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lowndes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. Camden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
