Baseball Recap: Nelson County Comes Up Short

Nelson County fell victim to Bethlehem and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nelson County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Bethlehem, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.

Nelson County will challenge Green County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Bethlehem, they will take on North Hardin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
