After a string of six wins, Mariemont's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Badin Rams by a score of 2-1. Mariemont were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but Badin's defense proved too tough.

Mariemont's goal came courtesy of Alyssa Dewey, who's now up to nine this season.

Mariemont's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Badin, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-3 record this season.

Mariemont and Badin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 24th) will meet Deer Park (ranked 370th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Badin will face off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (42 vs. 132).
