The Bethel Christian Kings will venture away from home to square off against the Citrus Hill Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bethel Christian came up short against Woodcrest Christian on Tuesday, falling 11-5.

Jada Aldridge made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 5-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Arellano, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Bethel Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodcrest Christian only managed nine hits.

Citrus Hill might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-8 to Fontana, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tatum Pino put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Pino was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Hailie Hernandez and Julissa Sandoval did some serious damage despite the final result: Hernandez scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Sandoval scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. What's more, Hernandez posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Valery Carreon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Bethel Christian's record is now 0-2. As for Citrus Hill, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Bethel Christian's way against Citrus Hill in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Bethel Christian made off with a 17-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bethel Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
