Basketball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Russell County and Clinton County, and Russell County kept the tradition alive. The Russell County Lakers lost 79-57 to the Clinton County Bulldogs on Friday. The Lakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 58-48.

Russell County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Clinton County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

As of now, neither Russell County nor Clinton County have any future games scheduled.
