Basketball Recap: Hazen Falls Short Against Ranked West Rutland

On Saturday, Hazen faced West Rutland in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hazen Wildcats fell to the West Rutland Golden Horde 54-49. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-49 last Friday.

Hazen's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for West Rutland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazen will head out to challenge Enosburg Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Rutland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Otter Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
