Basketball Recap: Dallas Fisher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Clayton over Douglass

North Clayton lost against Douglass back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The North Clayton Eagles lost to the Douglass Astros on the road by a 74-58 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Astros are ranked 66th).

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dallas Fisher, who went 8 for 14 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Modou Fall, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

North Clayton now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Douglass, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

North Clayton will host Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Clayton is facing Stone Mountain at the right time seeing as Stone Mountain is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Douglass, they will head out to face off against Luella at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglass knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Luella likes a good challenge.
