Softball Recap: Lewis County Minutemen vs. Robert C. Byrd Eagles

After flying high against Hampshire on Thursday, Lewis County came back down to earth. The Minutemen fell 17-14 to the Robert C. Byrd Eagles on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (13), the Minutemen still had to take the loss.

Bailey Oldaker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Smith, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles.

Lewis County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.
