A Season-Best Effort from Adam Denkert Leads Kenesaw over Elm Creek

Kenesaw was led to victory by Adam Denkert, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Denkert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 156 rushing yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made 18 total tackles.

On the year, Denkert has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 57.2 receiving yards per game.

Elijah Bergstrom Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Axtell got the W thanks in part to Elijah Bergstrom playing the best football he has all season. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

For the season, Wagoner has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 76.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 48.33 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 112.17 rushing yards.

Jacob Halvorsen Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Axtell got the W thanks in part to Jacob Halvorsen playing the best football he has all season. Halvorsen rushed for 140 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Blue Hill's probably not too fond of Halvorsen given he always seems to get the better of them. Halvorsen rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry the last time he and the Bobcats duked it out back in September of 2023.

Graiden Ritner Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Graiden Ritner of Wilcox-Hildreth. Ritner rushed for 122 yards and six touchdowns. He has become a key player for Wilcox-Hildreth: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

The victory was the third in a row for Wilcox-Hildreth, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Ritner and Wilcox-Hildreth will be playing in front of their home fans against Kenesaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
