Softball Recap: Marist Comes Up Short

Marist lost against Junction City on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-17 to the Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marist's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Junction City, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Marist wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Cottage Grove on the 29th. As for Junction City, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-0 win against Creswell on the 30th.
