Perry entered their tilt with Kirtland on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Hornets. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Hornets back in April, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Perry's win bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Kirtland, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Coming up, Perry will host Buchtel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kirtland, they will challenge Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Lancers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
