Baseball Game Preview: Seward Park Bears vs. Rustin

For the second straight game, Seward Park will face off against Rustin. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against Rustin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Seward Park came out on top against Rustin on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Bears walked away with a 13-9 win over Rustin. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten Rustin on their field since April 1, 2015.

Satchel Haynes was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Haynes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. He has become a key player for Seward Park: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Wesley Seeman-George was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Seward Park now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Rustin, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
