Game recap: Goose Creek High School Football Team tops West Ashley

Tyrik Johnson ran for five touchdowns to lift Goose Creek (S.C.) to a 49-20 defeat over West Ashley (Charleston, S.C.). Thanks to the stand out performance the junior now has 19 touchdowns on the season.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Johnson in the first quarter, the Gators were up 21-7 at the half.

Goose Creek grew its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. GC scored two times in the third, including once on a Johnson touchdown run.

Goose Creek (10-0) goes up against Stratford in a AAAA Region VII game matchup next week, while West Ashley (5-5) locks horns with Cane Bay also in a AAAA Region VII game.
