Baseball Game Preview: Chisholm Trail Rangers vs. Saginaw Rough Riders

For the second straight game, Chisholm Trail will face off against Saginaw. The Rangers will welcome the Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Chisholm Trail has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Chisholm Trail narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Saginaw 5-3.

Chisholm Trail let Nathan Pi?a and Kenneth Rosado run wild. Pi?a scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Rosado scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two hits gave Pi?a a new career-high.

Chisholm Trail always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chisholm Trail's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12. As for Saginaw, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-23-1.
