Basketball Recap: Cayuga Find Success

Cayuga can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against the Alba-Golden Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 45-27 defeat.

Cayuga's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 17-10. As for Alba-Golden, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

When Cayuga and Alba-Golden next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cayuga will challenge Martins Mill and their four-game winning streak at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Alba-Golden will try to stop LaPoynor's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
