Recap: Vincennes Lincoln Alices vs. Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats
The Vincennes Lincoln Alices's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They walked away with a 58-45 victory over Evansville Mater Dei. For Vincennes Lincoln, this counts as revenge for the 62-46 loss Evansville Mater Dei walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Joel Sanders, who scored 31 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Vincennes Lincoln's points. Another player making a difference was Raden Benson, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Evansville Mater Dei's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blaine Herr, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of James Hoffman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Vincennes Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Vincennes Lincoln will square off against South Knox at TBD on Wednesday. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they will head out on the road to square off against Boonville on Saturday.
